In Defense of Senator Cruz

Not that I’m a fan of Senator Cruz, but for those of you complaining about his trip to Cancun you people have zero understanding of how the responsibilities for governance are set up in this nation and no idea of the powers of a senator. Would you have felt better if he flew to DC where there was nothing he could do? Or, perhaps he could have gone to the Texas Legislature where he has no authority. Would that make you feel better? You might as well be complaining about the NBA teams from Dallas, San Antonio, and Houston for not pitching in to magically turn on power or not preventing people from poisoning themselves via carbon monoxide. Better yet, why not blame the entire NBA for not canceling all games and ordering all players to travel to Texas and add to the numbers sitting in the cold? Maybe, that’s next.

Apparently, some of you claim he could have raised money like AOC. (Assuming she's being truthful for once.) So....... to do what? Did it turn the power on or keep people from freezing? Was the cash used to filter water? Why didn't she fly to Dallas with hand warmers, rainbows, and fairy dust to actually do something useful? Let me help you out. There was NOTHING she could do to alleviate any of the life-threatening conditions present.

THE TRUTH IS YOU'RE SIMPLY JEALOUS AND STUPID. That's a bad combination with which to attempt to meet the challenges life can bring. You all are shining examples of why Caesar was correct. SMH
